Blueberry Dump Cake Recipe. Pour the blueberry pie filling into the baking dish. Dot top all over with butter.
Sprinkle lemon zest onto the blueberry pie filling. Sprinkle with sugar and gently coat blueberries with the sugar. Allow the dump cake to cool a bit before you slice and serve, as the fruit filling will be very hot.
Cut in the butter until incorporated and the mixture resembles biscuit mix.
Pour blueberry pie filling into bottom of baking dish, taking care to spread it into the corners.
Drizzle the mixture in a thin stream over the top of the cake. Thinly slice the butter sticks and place the sliced butter pieces over the dry cake mix. Whisk together the buttermilk (or milk) and vanilla (only need to do this if using the homemade cake mix recipe above).
